The Sasaki Family

AHHH, MY ARM KINDA ACHES. I LEANED ON IT TOO LONG. LEFT ARM IS USELESS WHEN I DRAW, AFTER ALL. XD

Anyways, now that we're done lamenting how FRIGGING LONG THIS TOOK--lazy me. xD--here's a family from Etheram's Generation! (Aka, 6th Gen)
It's the Sasaki's, and I've mention them quite a bit in later parts of Ether's route. Hence, artwork.
Really, I should be working on Snow bios and artwork, or even better, homework, BUT HEY. I figured I owe ya'll something for my lack of...stuffz.

The lady there is called Sukoru (Squall), and I've actually mentioned her in another deviation before. But, I only had the beta design up, so there's no point in really looking for it.
Besides, looking through my devs via words doesn't seem to be working properly... ._.

Anyways, Sukoru is the Water Lord of 6th Gem, and she (along with all of her kin, excluding Messiah) is a nymph. A Water Nymph, to be precise.
I didn't think I'd ever make a species with so many jewel-like growths! Seriously, it took so long to do all that metal... xD
As you can probably guess, Nymphs of Ceres tend to have a Steel-subtype, like the Sasaki family here.
The only one of the three that doesn't fit is Stafi (the blond kid), who is both genderless, a hybrid Demonic Mystic, and... Well, look at 'im. xD
Stafi him/herself is the Light Lord of...what, 7th Gen? He's quite young by the time Ether befriends his mother (Sukoru lawlz); around 4, I'd say.

Ah, but, the backstory to Sukoru is that she kind of got in with the wrong kind of 'badass' guy, and ended up pregnant after some... things. ._.
Seeing as the guy viewed her as a fling of sorts, this revelation doesn't end well.
Long story short (gonna make a mini-manga outta this! x3) is that Sukoru ends up on the streets, both from being kicked out of HER home by that Light Mystic-Lord she was with, and because she was fearful of how her family would take in Stafi (who was both a bastard child, and not a purebred Nymph; in her family, they don't accept outsiders easily).
It doesn't help that Stafi looks almost exactly like his dad does. ._.

Etheram eventually comes across her after another meeting gone sour (this was before he reunited with Ryoku in Strife), and takes her to her brother's house, where things become a bit awkward.

If any of you have read Strife, Yuu (the brown-eyed guy with a green shirt on) was mentioned previously as well. He took a liking to Etheram when the both of them were teens (this was during the time Ether spent with his biological father), and ended up messing their relationship up by pushing Etheram too far, too fast.
So, as you can imagine, that reunion wasn't the greatest...
But Yuu took a shining to Stafi, as can be seen here, and though Sukoru was severely depressed for a good deal of time...
She raises Stafi with lots of love~. Yuu didn't shove her away, after all~. :3

Yuu himself is the Earth Lord of 6th Gen.
A family of Lords... Boy howdy. xD

Sukoru technically bears Messiah via a Magic Seed. I'm still on the ropes about whether that makes Messi her kid or not. Yeah, she gave birth to him; but she's not spiritually related to him (Demons in Ceres pass on some of their magic to their children, after all). Granted, he gained his Water Mastery from her, and he bears a huge resemblance to her...
But, that Magic Seed is Ryoku's and Ether's. He's related closely to THEM.
So yeah... Either way, Stafi treats Messi as a lil bro/cousin. :3

I just realized today that Strife focuses on families that all have siblings... Etheram had Griever; Ryoku had a deceased brother and his sister, Reisz; Sukoru has Yuu; Hidden Power has Messiah and Stafi... Not to mention, the Kazuki twins. xP
The only characters in 6th Gen's focus who don't have siblings are Haku, Yura, Akuro, the Lord of the Eastern Ocean (even then, he has lots of sons!)... Probably more, but hey.
And even THEN, Yura and Haku might be related. Which would make their occupation (that they co-operate on) insanely awkward. xD
Heck, even TSUKISSU had siblings on the planet Mode! His elder brother, Tsukiori... Hee. xD

Speaking of, would anyone like me to do a small oneshot on what happened to Tsukissu after chapter 8 or so of Strife? :3
Oh, and a side-story to Strife is being written. 3 chapters in, it focuses on Ryoku's backstory. Fittingly, it's titled Chrysanthemum...
Remind me to finish it! xD
