Taito of the Winds

That's easily my most abstract BG ever. xD

So, while the pic is simple... Meh, I had fun doing it!
But since it's so late... Well, I'll keep the BG short.

Taito is exclusive to Messiah's secondary scenario (yes, already). The plot for Messi's story there is that he's a sky pirate; he basically commands an airship that specializes in theft.
Taito here is a demi-human, and a military experiment at that.
The new gimmick that's introduced with Taito are gems known as Guard Fragments. They're basically solidified parts of a specific Guard's soul that's fallen onto Ceres--the end result of a reincarnation gone wrong?

Regardless, every imaginable and existing power in Ceres has a set of these gems. Obviously, one can mix and match the gems, but the same rules apply either way: You can't wear contrasting gems at the same time, the maximum amount you can wear depends on your power and lifespan, and you're going to be hunted down if you have these gems in or on you at any time.

Taito himself is a Dream Summoner; that is, his affinity with the gems is especially high since he's more inclined into believing in their powers (And thus, the existence of Guards themselves, which wanes with every new generation), and he has some unique abilities otherwise not present in other demi-humans.

And yes, the character Yamikage is a psuedo/demi-human. Her abilities make her able to adapt to any kind of power imaginable in regards to species (in other words, she can easily become a full-blooded mystic if injected with their fang venom).

The eye on his stomach isn't part of a Guard Fragment set, btw. That's just a result of experimentation. Much like Takuto's tail, Chii, it has its own mind.. But it's more limited when compared to Chii, and is very simple. So, it can't count as another chara. xD
It also changes colour depending on what set pieces he has on or in him at the time. So, it's kind of a spoilerific little 'asset'... To the military, at least. Sheesh! xD

Oh, right. Taito's Guard set is the Wind Set, hence his nickname. He only has 2 pieces of the set, however; the gem in his hand (literally imbeded in it), and the one in his necklace (which goes by undiscovered due to it being a gift of his; it goes without notice due to being seen as a religious item and thus brushed off as a Guard item (irony?)).

He gains the Barrier set for a short time... Boy, the bling this boy has on during that time... A 16-piece set enables him to encase Messiah's entire aircraft with a huge barrier (and it's bigger than a plane...), AND to teleport the ship and the items/people within it (as Barrier and Psychic magic shares some similarities). The only issue he has when he has that particular set is that he's nigh-comatose due to how huge the magic drain is.

So yeah, this guy would definitely be an asset to the military...
As for his Gen, Takuto meets up with him. That would put him to be at around Gen 4.5... So, he's at least 200 years old, if not older (as Messi is part of 7th Gen, and he's an adult when he abducts this guy).

The relationship he has with Messi is weird... He's protected, but Messi doesn't give two craps about him...at first, at least. They come to a mutual friendship of sorts later.

It's probably made awkward because of the fact that Ryoku (Messi's father) is part of his crew... And the two share a very tense relationship. I'm not spoiling it now lol. xD

Taito was the product of a dream, btw, so if the logic is sorta derpy, tell me so I can fix it please. xD

I like how we went from Ori (dark skin) to Taito, who's the palest character by far. I say he's an albino, even if he doesn't match the requirements for it.
Compared to Kage, anyways. x3
