Own Choice WIP - Torero and Partner

Unlike my other works, I'm hoping to make a mixed media kind of thing out of this. Since I now have a chance to sell something in an art auction, I got a "Own Choice" project in Art. It's an opportunity that I've become really confused about (drawing blanks on what to do). It needs to be done by the 15th, but I have no idea how it'll turn out...
So, I made a new character while I was sketching stuff out. Speaking of, my sketchbook is almost done for. AND I DIDN'T EVEN SCAN ANYTHING YET!
...you'll all have to watch out for an art dump wave. The next one might be humoungous! XD

Anyways, the torero is the only one I'll be using for this project. Buuut, since I made a counterpart piece, I included a (slightly shrunk) lineart of Romano here as well. They both have seperate versions. x3

So, on the left is Aurelio Rosario, a Spanish human of Ceres, while on the right we have Ceres Romano, a descendant of THE Cerian bloodline. Unlike most other demons, Ceres here (otherwise dubbed "Roma" by Aurelio) is a personification of the Cerian world. In other words, he descended from a family that shares many of the same wishes and traits the Ceres world itself has. As Snow will show, Ceres itself has a differing personification as time goes on. The cast of the main Ceres storyline never come into contact with these personifications, though. Weird, yeah? xD
And hey, if we've got a Creator of universes and planets, gods/Guards of Elements and other kinds of magic, and the Dream World (which has its own set of specialties), why not have a planet personification? xD

Romano is actually a part of a set of demons who can be considered personifications of the worlds in the Ceres verse... But, the other two (Lavi, who is the personification of Vulcan, and Murri, the personification of Mode) don't show up in the storyline Aurelio here is involved in. And if you're wondering, DW is lumped in with Ceres sometimes; both planets are connected via their lifestreams. :3
Aha, but before I get onto Aurelio, the unique feature about Romano is his abilities. Unlike most demons, Romano grows quickly. Like, "I hit 10 years old, now I am mentally 25" kinda grow. xD
Most demons in Ceres, by Kage's generation, are considered adults at 10 due to dying fairly young (averaging at 12), though they all retain innocence at that age. Unlike regular demons, Romano HAS that mentality to be considered older than he actually is... but his body does NOT keep up with that aging. xD
So, it's like a weird reverse/parallel situation of Guard growth. Remember how Zaelestis matured physically and mentally REALLY quickly? She was about 10 when she reached adulthood; her powers kept growing after that!
Romano just has the wit and knowledge he needs by the time he's 14. He just doesn't have the physical strength to back it up quite. Good thing he's got painfully strong magic to do the work instead. xD

Romano's Elements are Thunder and Wind, btw. I needed a Thunder-based main protag! xD
(Nezu doesn't technically count, sharing the "hero" role with 3 others instead of solely. That, and he lacks a lot of the magic power to be a notable part of the history. Even Kage isn't referred to by name in the Cerian history books. His last name is mentioned, but history pertaining to 2nd Gen treats them as "unknown heroes". xD)

I dunno where this story would take place... It might take place anytime between 2nd Gen and 9th, or it could happen after the Solitaire series, in a New!Ceres setting. Dunno... It's gonna be fun figuring it out later. xD
But, I just got the idea for Aurelio after watching some anime and getting a love for the Spanish language back. That, and well... I got bored. So, I decided to put it to use~. And I like the torero outfit; so flamboyantly fancy! xD
I hear they're comfy outfits. Allows one to be flexible. But, MAN, wearing em must be awkward. xP

As for Aurelio himself, he's supposedly a torero and nothing more... Romano begs to differ. xD
In reality, Aurelio gets oddly attached to Roma, who has already lost his family before he was aware of their existence (this is due to the fact that all their powers go to him once he was born, so they faded away). As a result of being raised completely feral (some of the local demons found him and took care of him), Roma trusts no one else with his life or any of his emotions he's got to muster. Thusly, once Aurelio comes to him with an offer of friendship... Heheh! xP
I might make this a shounen-ai, may not. This pair would be cute. Liked a flipped version of the RyoRam pairing~. xD

Ah, but Roma is really the one who came to see Aurelio, though not intentionally. The starting situation is, Romano took to watching Rio (last name nicks galore!) practice fighting with the bulls (so to speak; he doesn't FIGHT them so much as tease em, evidently), and grew interested in this pointless activity. Boredom and all. xP
Once Rio decided to get into a spat with a Machimoto (by accident, but he went with it), Romano butted in to save his sorry hide, even though Aurelio has surprisingly strong Para-Magic... The crowd Aurelio was performing before at the time loved the spectacle, which just flustered Roma... Heh, so cute. xP
After that incident, Aurelio came to encourage Roma's joining in the sport, though he was always declined. Instead, Roma just decided to visit him more often, becoming friends with the dumbass as time passed on.

Of course, Aurelio doesn't have strong para-magic for nothing. See that scar on his face? Yup, I'm betting Rio here isn't nearly as dimwitted as he shows himself to be... Roma would agree with this. The term "Wounded Gazelle Gambit" comes to mind... xD
I wonder how many of you guys even noticed the thorns on that rose of Rio's. >:3

This sounds like it'll be fun to work on, eventually. x3

Oh yeah, the thing I plan on doing with this is doing a background digitally, then doing the rest of the colouring by hand. I hope it comes out well~
I'll do a completely digital version too, of course. JUST FOR YA'LL, but mostly for me. BUT YOU GUYS CAN ENJOY SOMETHING TOO, MAYBE. xD
